Bad Timing

Bad Timing is the short produced by the Animation Lab 2021 - 2022 crew. I worked with 80 other students to produce the short. I worked with a team of five to complete all of the rigs. Bad Timing was completed on December 12, 2022. The short was about monsters wanting to take over the world, but they forgot it was Halloween so no one took them seriously.

This project taught me a lot about team work.  The pipeline and gave me a real sense of what coordinating with a team to complete an animated project feels like. My favorite part about this experience was learning how to make my rigs more dynamic, and how to create good quality rigs in a short amount of time.

During this production I got the opportunity to rig many characters. Most I fully rigged, others I redid weight paints and/or rebuilt part of the rig.

The characters I fully rigged are:

  • The Clown Doll

  • The Ghost Girl

  • The Hawaiian Grim Reaper

  • The Tongue Tree prop (unused)

  • The Trouble Makers or the masked plush characters

The characters I redid weight paints on are:

  • Alien B (Cape and neck)

  • Aerobics Mom (Shoulder and neck)

  • Alien Dog (Legs and mouth)

  • Purple Monster (All)

  • The Ronald Clown (Shoulders, hips, collar and chest)

  • Slasher Girl (Smoothed mouth holes)
